Maxwell Austin van Lack

Maxwell Austin van Lack, a Subud member since the 1960s, passed away in Coeur d’Alene on May 14, 2023.  Max kept a low profile, not many Subud people knew him, but he never neglected his latihan.  He was a close friend with Subud brother Leonard Parsons and helped care for Leonard during Leonard’s last days, two years ago.

Max was the author of The Vortex, which is both a metaphysical mystery and a spiritual autobiography; the book is still in print.
