2026 PNW KEJIWAAN GATHERING
Seabeck Conference Center
September 17-20, 2026
Registration is Still Open!!
A few people have told me they thought Seabeck registration was now closed since we were asked to “Declare” our numbers on August 17. Allow me to clarify!!
Declaration Date Policy Translated:
Seabeck refuses to mix guests from one group into another group’s housing. (A policy many groups appreciate). They also charge by the bed rather than by the house, so all non-profit groups that stay at their facility are asked to “declare” their expected numbers one month before their stay. If the numbers come in low, then the number of houses available to a group is adjusted downward.
By our Declaration Date (August 17), we had 38 paid registrations. Traditionally, Subud people tend to register at the last minute (at Seabeck last year before that, Menucha), so on our Declaration date, we reported to Seabeck that we had 38 registrants, but we expect 55 attendees this year. (They actually encouraged us to build in a buffer). This number was lower than we originally hoped it would be, so they could no longer hold The Inn and Maples for our group.
Why did we declare 55 instead of 38?
To allow us to have housing available for any late registrants.
What happens if we don’t get 55 registrations?
We are expected to pay for 50 registrations no matter what. (90% of our declared 55). Since we have to pay per bed declared, this could leave us with a significant loss if we don’t get more registrations!! If we get a rush of last-minute registrations (wouldn’t that be wonderful?), it is likely we’ll be able to get The Inn again, which would allow us to have up to 70 people.
Is there Financial Assistance available?
Yes, some assistance is available! Click on this link to apply for Financial Assistance before you register. Within a few days, you’ll receive a Discount Code which you can use to complete your registration.
Elderberry Assistance
For seniors over the age of 75, additional assistance with transportation costs may be available. To ask for help with this, please make a note on your registration form. Marlene Knill, who assists with the Elderberry program, will reach out and assist you further.
