“Sing well as you fly away to new adventures and know that we carry you in our hearts with deep gratitude.”
Officer Elections
We have elected new regional officers for the 2026-2028 board. A warm welcome to our new team!

Status of the Proposals Presented:
PROPOSAL – Presented by Rayma Norton
This proposal addresses the need for the bylaws to further define the selection process, term of position, voting privileges and any additional important functions and responsibilities of the newly created (early 2025) positions of up to five for Regional Board “members-at-large” meant to represent regional members not associated with any functioning Subud center.
RESULT
This proposal passed unanimously. A working committee will be appointed by the Regional board to work on constructing clear guidelines for the Members-at-large positions
PROPOSAL – Proposed by Honora Drew; summarized in her absence by Marston Gregory
Continue CPA oversight of consolidated regional accounting and the three treasurers, with active involvement from the PNW, PDX, and SGS chairs. Our CPA, Shelly Rogers, understands our organization and offers affordable expertise to help manage the complexity ahead. Add external contract bookkeeping support to supplement and, if needed, replace the current in-house arrangement. Our CPA recommends this approach and can suggest qualified independent bookkeepers.
RESULT
It was felt that we were not yet ready to go forward with a vote. This will be discussed further at the new regional board meeting with the hope of presenting to members for a vote at the Kejiwaan gathering at Seabeck in September.
PROPOSAL – Proposed by Fayra Teeters, representing SICA, Presented by Jim O’Halloran
SICA is in dire need of receiving regular donations from Subud organizations throughout the USA. We currently have no “spare change”, which means no money to fund Project Grant requests, which is one of the mandates of our organization. Subud Los Angeles donates $200/month; Seattle donates $100/month (when they can); the Rocky Mountain Region donates $25/month. Would it be possible for Subud Pacific NW to consider donating $50- $100 per month?
RESULT
This proposal was tabled for now until Susila Dharma makes a decision about whether to move forward with a joint proposal with SICA.

That’s a wrap, folks!!
With much gratitude,
Isabel Gates, 2026 Congress Chair
